Overview

Revamped the product details page to enhance buyer visibility into product information, facilitate making offers or purchases from existing inventory, and streamline the seller's ability to list their products. Addressed pricing challenges and improved the buyer's experience in comparing sneaker prices across various platforms.

Challenges

Had some challenges around displaying prices for new, used, instant ship, and the ability to make an offer.

Buyer user journey

Assuming we've ensured authenticity and consistent delivery times for both new and used items (except Instant Ship), price becomes the paramount consideration.

Once a buyer selects a pair of sneakers they like and knows their shoe size, the next step is to compare prices across different platforms.

- Option A approached the solution from a reseller's perspective, considering that resellers aim to find the most profitable deals. In this context, they would likely prefer to browse all sizes and compare pricing data to determine their potential profit.

- B was a solution based on the idea that when a buyer or seller makes a decision, they typically have a specific size in mind. Therefore, the priority is to enable users to browse prices by size, reducing initial information overload and only displaying prices when the buyer or seller actively seeks them.

We started a user interview as part of our qualitative research, posing these key questions: What information is the buyer seeking at this stage? Are they interested in understanding their buying options, the Instant Buy price, or simply having clear and transparent pricing? After completing the Buyer user journey, we discovered that collectors typically prioritize purchasing a specific pair for personal use, with their preferred size in mind, leading them to initiate their search by filtering based on size.
